PA WINS FREESTYLE PLACES 3RD IN GRECO
AT CADET NATIONAL DUALS
Pennsylvania
Black defeated Missouri 53-22 to win the Cadet Freestyle
Championship title. Pennsylvania Black defeated Wisconsin
40-34 to gain a 3rd place finish in the Greco-Roman
competition which ended Saturday.

Team
Pennsylvania swept the competition with a double win
in both Greco-Roman and Freestyle this past week. Pennsylvania
brought two teams that competed against elite schoolboy
state teams from across the nation in a pool-style tournament.

USA Wrestling Membership is mandatory at all PAWF
qualifiers and events. Athlete cards are $30 and
Coaching cards are $35. Membership cards will
be available for purchase at all PAWF tournaments.

PAWF
would like to thank all of our referees for volunteering
for all of the National Team trips we have coming
up this summer. Thanks to all of you, we have
enough officials for all of the upcoming National
Dual Tournaments.
National Junior Duals
The
Junior National Duals Freestyle Competition is underway
Pennsylvania defeated Louisiana in the first dual
of the tournament and then lost 3 tough rounds to
Oklahoma, New Jersey, and Virginia. The team ended
Saturdays competition with a win over Team Connecticut.
They ended the competition with a win over Maryland
38-31 and then a loss to Wisconsin 39-29.
In
the Greco competition, Team Pennsylvania defeated
Nebraska in the first dual of the competition and
then lost the next string of duals in their pool to
Texas, Missouri, Illinois, and Virginia.

would like to thank everyone involved with
PAWF for another great tournament series.
We would also like to thank everyone at Blue
Mountain for helping run the State Championships.
We have had more letters than ever stating
how well the tournament was run.
We
would also like to congratulate everyone who
qualified for the PA Cadet and Junior National
Team to be competing in Fargo at the end of
July. We are looking forward to bringing another
stellar team to the event.
Once
again, the stats show that PAWF and summer
wrestling makes winter champions. Take a look
at the number of PAWF members that had success
at both the High School and Collegiate level

Each year, PAWF takes several all-star teams in the
various age brackets to the USA Wrestling National Championship
Tournament. Each wrestler is responsible for raising
money to pay for team travel, uniforms, training camp,
and meals. Each year, we depend on sponsorship money
to help defray costs for these individuals and help
make these trips possible for everyone. If you are interested
