PAWF TO HOST GIRLS STATE CHAMPIONSHIP
On Sunday March 11, 2012 we will be conducting the Girl's State Championships at Susqhehanna Township High School in Harrisburg. Jen Chu, PAWF Director of Women's Wrestling will be coordinating the event. Dee Evans, will be the local contact. We encourage all Pennsylvania female wrestlers to participate in this Tournament. We intend to make this an annual event. There will be four age groups, Intermediate, Novice, Middle School, and High School. A free Technique Clinic will be conducted featuring Erin Tomeo, U.S. Womens National Team Coach, 1998 FILA Junior Nationals Champion and 2x U.S. World Team Trials Champion. NORTHEAST REGIONALS
May 18 - 20
Pennsylvania will again be hosting the Northeast Regional Championships. This year's event will be held at Bloomsburg University. Juniors and Cadets may qualify for Fargo at both the PAWF State Championships and at the Northeast Regionals. Wrestlers qualifying at Regionals may move up or down in weight at Fargo. At PAWF States, you must place at the same weight you will wrestle at Nationals. Scholarship competition is at the State Championships only. To qualify for Kids Nationals, you MUST attend the Regional Championships.
Preliminary Spring Schedule
A preliminary version of the 2012 Spring Schedule has been posted to the 'Schedule' Page. All clubs interested in hosting a Spring Qualifier are urged to contact Van Plocus as soon as possible. Some of the dates shown as open have tentative commitments. As always, those able to lock in their date will be given preference. We are looking forward to another busy spring. In 2011 we had over 3000 entrants in Greco/Freestyle. The numbers guarantee some great competition at the qualifiers. There will also be club Freestyle Duals for Schoolboy and Cadet/Junior wrestlers. We will be updating the schedule on a regular basis. Check back frequently for updates. This schedule will be the official version. Those of you who use Facebook for PAWF wrestling should always check here for any last minute changes.

2012 USAW MEMBERSHIP
The 2012 membership year has begun. Our 2011 cards expired on August 31st, 2011. Athlete cards are available by mail. Please go to the 'Membership/Clubs' page and print out the 2012 PAWF/USAW Membership application. All Coaches and Officials cards must be obtained directly from USAW.
