INFORMATION FOR CLUBS THAT ARE HOSTING A PAWF QUALIFIER

Message from the State Chairman

Below is the documentation you will need to effectively conduct the Qualifier. I ask all Tournament Directors to print out and thoroughly review the entire packet to assure that the appropriate number of volunteers are assembled and trained. The training materials for your scorers and timers is also available under the 'Learn' tab on this web site. Please make sure that your volunteers print out and review the documents prior to the event. If you have any questions, please give me a call or send an email.

You should review the information with your leadership team, which includes a Registration Chairperson, Weighmaster, Announcer, and Floor Manager. Please print and review. Also print a copy of the typical Qualifier schedule. All qualifiers are scheduled for 8AM weighins with wrestling starting by 9:30AM.

Floor Manager - Scorer/Timer Training

The Floor Manager schedules all Table Help, and assists the Announcer where needed. There are two files available. The first is a general description of the Scorer and Timer duties. This is a must for your scorers and timers. Timer information and duties are explained. Basic information for Scorers is also presented. Scorers must also review the 'Guide to filling out the Bout Sheet'. There will be a scoring-timing review prior to wrestling start. If your volunteers have not scored events before, it is recommended that you schedule additional training prior to the event.
